Dead Island is even more Gruesome

As time goes on, Techland is working on making Dead Island even more brutal as shown through these screenshots.
From the time I spent during GDC helping Deep Silver show off the title, these screens are a huge jump from the pre-alpha that was in place then.

Catherine Visits Again With Characters

Atlus USA has passed on some character art with bios for Catherine as well as sending over the new box art for the title.

Atlus USA shows off more Catherine

Atlus USA is slowly showing off more of Catherine in small screenshot batches.
But as one of my most desired titles this year, the July release can’t come fast enough.

Tekken Blood Vengeance Must Not Suck

Finally Namco Bandai is releasing a full CG Tekken movie. The shorts that were included with each title were always fun to watch and now with the help of Digital Frontier, who made the not crappy Resident Evil: Degeneration, Dai Sato, who wrote the not crappy Cowboy Bebop, and Youichi Mouri, who directed the not crappy opening movies of Tekken 5 and Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion; Blood Vengeance could actually be insanely awesome.

The best part is that it releases this Summer. If only they did what they do in the games and have each character speak in their respective languages.

Dark Souls Arrives October 2011

Namco Bandai has announced a rough release date for Dark Souls.
While the exact date isn’t know, what better time to release the title than October?
Featuring a $59.99 Collector’s Edition (same price as the standard, so why get the standard?) which includes a LE art book, mini strategy book, behind the scenes videos, and a digital download of the soundtrack (These have become standard from Atlus USA who published Demon’s Souls).

Namco Bandai also released new screen shots of what will be another contender for RPG of the Year.

Scary-Ass Shadows of the Damned Screens

From Grasshopper Manufacture, the home of Suda51, Shinji Mikami, and Akira Yamaoka; Shadows of the Damned is about Garcia Hotspur as he journeys through hell to save Paula.

Just from the screens, it looks like Shadows of the Damned is going to feature crazy character designs and bizarre environments.
Releases June 21, 2011.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Japanese Launch & New Screens

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron released in Japan on April 28, 2011 with a lot of praise and interest. With licensed merchandise from Edwin jeans, t-shirts, and other products, it looks like the title was among the bigger releases in April.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is about Enoch, an Angel, who is tasked with capturing renegade Fallen Angels.
By Sawaki Takeyasu and Masato Kimura, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is announced to release this Summer for Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
